Project Overview

The school had faced repeated heating failures in recent years. LMM secured funding to replace the central heating plant, ensuring long-term reliability. Heat decarbonisation options were explored, but electrical capacity limits made air source heat pumps unviable without costly upgrades. Stakeholders approved a high-efficiency gas boiler, significantly reducing CO₂ emissions. Delivered on time and on budget over a six-week programme, the project maintained hot water supply during term time. A TREND IQ4 Building Management System was also installed to optimise energy use through smart heating controls.
