Kingsmead Primary School was extended to accommodate additional pupil places in response to a new housing development in Northwich. This project serves as a prime example of how sustainable materials can be specified to create a positive and future-ready learning environment. Procured via the Chest Framework, the extension was constructed using sustainable materials and employed off-site construction methods to minimise disruption and reduce waste. Renewable energy systems were also installed to heat the building, significantly reducing its operational carbon footprint and supporting the school’s long-term sustainability goals.
