Queen Elizabeth Grammar School was originally constructed in 1917, with various ad hoc improvements and new areas constructed during the time since. The school was therefore in need of significant upgrades in large parts of the site to improve the electrical services throughout the school.
LMM we’re appointed to assess the condition of the building and recommend necessary improvements to the electrical infrastructure that would enhance the building from a health and safety perspective and a wellbeing perspective. This included improving the LV distribution throughout whilst navigating the complexities of the school still being in use. New mains and submains distribution was provided to bring the building up to latest legislation and standards. This also included upgrading lighting systems with energy efficient LED luminaires and automatic controls as well as re-wiring and providing new small power.
Sustainability was at the forefront of the design to provide a space that is uplifting and welcoming as well as improving the buildings energy use throughout.
