Commitment to Achieving Net Zero
Lancaster Maloney Martin Ltd is committed to achieving Net Zero carbon emissions by July 2042.
This Carbon Reduction Plan sets out our current emissions baseline, the actions we have already taken, and the further measures we will implement to reduce our environmental impact while continuing to deliver high quality consultancy services across the UK.
This plan aligns with the UK Government’s Carbon Reduction Plan guidance and supports our wider Environmental Management System certified to ISO 14001.

Baseline Emissions Footprint
Our baseline emissions year is 2022, selected as a representative year of normal business operations.

The baseline includes emissions associated with:
• Business travel and company vehicles
• Energy consumption within our offices
• Employee commuting and business activities

At baseline, these activities represented 100% of our measured operational emissions.

Current Emissions Reporting
Since establishing our baseline, we have implemented a range of initiatives that have already delivered measurable carbon reductions, particularly through changes to fleet, energy efficiency and working practices.

Our progress is monitored through our ISO 14001 Environmental Management System, including:
• Environmental Aspects & Impacts Register
• Carbon Reduction Opportunities & Objectives (CROO) Register
• Legal & Regulations Register
• Training Matrix and staff awareness programmes

Carbon Reduction Targets
Lancaster Maloney Martin Ltd has adopted the following carbon reduction targets:
• Net Zero carbon emissions by July 2042
• 50% reduction in emissions within five years of the baseline year

These targets are embedded within our Environmental Policy and reviewed annually as part of our management review process.

Carbon Reduction Initiatives – Completed
We have already implemented the following measures to reduce our carbon footprint:
• Introduction of a hybrid vehicle fleet, reducing fuel consumption and tailpipe emissions
• Replacement of office lighting with LED energy efficient fittings
• Adoption of a hybrid working policy, reducing commuting and business travel emissions
• Achievement and maintenance of ISO 14001 Environmental Management System certification

These actions have delivered immediate carbon savings while also reducing operating costs.

Carbon Reduction Initiatives – Planned and In Progress
To continue our progress towards Net Zero, we are committed to implementing the following initiatives:
• Progressive transition to electric vehicles (EVs) as part of our company fleet
• Installation of solar photovoltaic panels at suitable office locations
• Introduction of an air source heat pump to replace or supplement traditional heating systems
• Ongoing review of suppliers and procurement to prioritise low carbon and sustainable options
• Continued staff engagement, training and behavioural change initiatives

These measures will be phased in line with business growth, technological advancement and financial viability.

Environmental Management and Governance
Environmental responsibility is embedded at all levels of Lancaster Maloney Martin Ltd.
• The Board of Directors has overall responsibility for environmental performance
• Day to day management is supported by our ISO 14001 framework
• All employees receive environmental awareness training relevant to their role
• Performance is reviewed regularly, with objectives updated to ensure continual improvement

We confirm that the information contained within this plan is accurate and reflects our current commitments and actions towards reducing carbon emissions.
